SDI Deep Diver: Master the Recreational Limit
The SDI Deep Diver course is the essential next step for divers who want to explore beyond the basics. This course provides the specialized knowledge and practical skills required to safely plan and execute dives to the absolute limit of recreational diving: 40 meters (130 feet).

What You’ll Master

Deep Science: The physics and physiology of diving deep, including nitrogen narcosis and decompression theory.

In-Water Skills & Training
You will complete two open water dives under the direct supervision of your instructor:

Dive 1: Equipment checks, area familiarization, and dive planning with a maximum depth of 30 meters / 100 feet.

Dive 2: Advanced monitoring of air consumption and depth, plus an underwater simulated emergency exercise with a maximum depth of 40 meters / 130 feet.
Course Prerequisites

Certification: SDI Open Water Scuba Diver (or equivalent).

Age: Minimum age 18 (or 10 with parental consent). Note: Depth limits for Junior divers will be strictly enforced in accordance with age-specific SDI standards.
Requirements & Prep

Registration: Sign up at least 1 week before the course start date.

eLearning: Must be completed 3 days before your first dive (estimated 4–6 hours).

Paperwork: All medical and liability forms must be finalized 3 days before the course begins.
