Personalized Training Structure

Your journey begins with SDI eLearning, allowing you to master the academic foundations whenever and wherever it suits you. Once the digital classroom is complete, your training transitions to hands-on instruction:

• Private Orientation: Coordinate a one-on-one session at our shop to finalize administrative details, review dive planning, and complete your knowledge check. You will receive a personalized gear fitting and learn the fundamentals of equipment assembly and care.

• Custom Pool Sessions: Master essential skills in a controlled environment with your instructor. Because this is a private course, we can focus entirely on your comfort and technique, ensuring you are fully prepared for the open water.

• Open Water Check-out Dives: Typically held over two days at Lake Denton, you will apply your skills in a real-world setting to earn your globally recognized SDI certification.

What’s Included:

• 1-on-1 Instruction: Dedicated professional guidance throughout the course.

• Logistics: Air fills and tank rentals for all sessions.

Requirements & Logistics:

• Age: 12 years or older (10 & 11-year-olds may enroll in Private Junior programs).

• Physical Skills: Ability to swim 200 yards (non-stop, any stroke) and tread water/float for 10 minutes.

• Medical: Must be in good physical health. Any "Yes" on the medical questionnaire requires a physician's sign-off at least 3 days before your first water session.

Personal Gear & Materials

To ensure the best fit, safety, and performance, students are required to provide the following:

1. Educational Kit: Logbook, recreational dive planner, and planning slate.

2. Personal Scuba Kit: High-quality mask (non-mirrored), snorkel, scuba-specific fins, boots, and an SMB/DSMB.

Note: If you plan to use gear not purchased at our shop, it must be brought in for a safety evaluation prior to the course to ensure it is "scuba worthy" and fits correctly.
