SDI Scuba Discovery
For those who want to test the waters and try scuba, this is the course for you! The SDI Scuba Discovery Program gives you a glimpse of what you can expect to experience in the underwater world as well as what you could expect to learn in the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course. During this experience program, you will go through the basic safety procedures for enjoyable scuba diving under the watchful eye of an active SDI Instructor.
You will learn skills such as equalizing your ears, buddy checks, basic buoyancy control, underwater communication, and more. You will also be given an introduction to basic scuba equipment followed by an underwater tour in the local pool or aquatic environment.
Includes eLearning and introductory pool session. If you sign up for SDI Open Water Scuba Diver within a week after your pool session, $35.00 will be deducted from the Open Water Scuba Diver Standard program.

The SDI Scuba Discovery Program gives you a glimpse of what you can expect to experience in the underwater world as well as what you could expect to learn in the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course. During this experience program, you will go through the basic safety procedures for enjoyable scuba diving under the watchful eye of an active SDI Instructor.
For this experience, once you sign up, we will send you information and a code so that you can register, fill out the necessary forms and medical release, and then complete a quick eLearning module over what you will be doing in the pool.
The first session, you will come to the shop to meet your instructor/leader and wrap up any administrative issues, get fitted for the gear you will be using in the pool, and get any questions answered that you have over the online material.
There is nothing you have to purchase regarding equipment for this experience, but you may choose to purchase your own mask/snorkel if you would like.
Although this is not a scuba certification course, you'll experience your first breaths underwater and learn what it takes to be a certified diver.
If within a week after this session, you do decide to "Take the Plunge" and sign up for an SDI Open Water Scuba Diver certification course, we will deduct $35.00 from your SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course fee as a bonus.
To sign up, you must be at least 18 years old. (10 with parental consent.) No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health. Are you ready to try it out?
