SDI Solo Diver
The SDI Solo Diver course is designed for experienced divers who want to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to safely plan and conduct independent, self-reliant dives. While the buddy system remains an important foundation of recreational diving, there are situations where diving alone is practical, preferred, or even necessary. This course teaches divers how to manage those situations responsibly.
With a focus on advanced dive planning, redundant equipment, and emergency problem-solving, students learn how to take full control of their dive from start to finish. The result is a more confident, capable diver who can handle challenges independently and make safer decisions both solo and when paired in a team.
