About:

Currently a full-time student at the University of South Florida, Mike is pursuing his second bachelor's degree in Geography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). His academic focus is a natural extension of his extensive career as a U.S. Marine, U.S. Army Soldier, and DoD Contractor. Most recently, he supported the National Emergency Response Information Coordination, specializing in integrating military assets into emergency response frameworks. Mike is now transitioning that high-level expertise into marine conservation, diving, and geospatial analysis. He stays active in the field by volunteering for coastal conservation efforts, monitoring sea turtle populations, and contributing to GIS-based environmental restoration projects. When he is not underwater or in the classroom, Mike spends as much time as possible near the water and with his four-legged best friend, Maverick, a Lab-Coonhound mix.
