Richard Lawrence

Richard has been diving since 2012 and has logged over 577 dives, bringing a steady, safety-focused approach to every class and dive. Originally from Rochester, New York, Richard developed a passion for the underwater world that continues to grow with every dive.

Before turning his focus fully toward diving, Richard proudly served in the U.S. Army and later retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, careers that shaped his strong sense of discipline, leadership, and attention to detail—qualities that translate seamlessly into diving and instruction.

When he’s not underwater, Richard enjoys road cycling and staying active. Whether assisting divers or sharing his experience, he’s always happy to help others build confidence and enjoy their time in the water.
