We partner with Captain Jamie and the crew at Aristakat Charters for an exciting two-tank dive in the Gulf of Mexico. Whether you are looking for prehistoric Megalodon teeth or smaller fossilized treasures, these dives offer a unique adventure for every diver.

Hunt for Megalodon: Shark Tooth Diving in Venice, FL

Charter Information

  • The Dive: A two-tank charter in relatively shallow waters (25–40 feet).
  • Duration: Approximately 4 hours on the water.
  • Inclusions: Tanks and weights are provided. Note: Nitrox and DIN tanks are not available.
  • Requirement: Minimum certification of Open Water Diver.
  • Location: Marina Park Public Boat Ramp, 303 East Venice Ave, Venice, FL 34285.

What to Bring

  • Essential Gear: Mask, snorkel, fins, BCD, regulator, dive computer, whistle, wetsuit, and Surface Marker Buoy (SMB). A compass is highly recommended.
  • Rental Gear: Must be picked up at the shop no later than the Friday before your trip.
  • Collection Bag: A mesh bag for your fossils (available for purchase at the shop).
  • Personal Items: Sunscreen, towels, non-drowsy Dramamine, and your certification card (physical or app-based).
  • Crew Tips: Suggested tip is $10 per tank ($20 total).

Safety & Experience Requirements

  • Recent Experience: If you have not been diving in the past 6 months, we strongly recommend a "ReActivate" session or pool practice before this trip. Call Letts Dive at 727-273-0000 to schedule.
  • Visibility & Buddy System: Visibility in the Gulf varies; please agree on a "lost buddy" procedure with your partner before your dive.
  • The Banana Rule: No bananas on the boat—they are bad luck!

Booking & Cancellation Policy

  • Store Credit Only: No refunds are issued for cancellations; store credit only.
  • 7-Day Notice: No credit is given for cancellations made within 7 days of the trip unless your spot can be filled by another diver.
