PADI Open Water Diver - 1-1 Private Class

Millions of people have learned to scuba dive and gone on to discover the wonders of the aquatic world through this course. To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.
- You will be required to swim 200 yards nonstop, not timed, any stroke, no touching the bottom. You can wear swim goggles
- You will be required to treadwater/float for 10 minutes.
Take a private class with one of our incredible PADI Instructors and a schedule custom made for you/with you. This course generally takes 3 days minimum to complete. We will work with you to figure out a schedule that fits your needs and the availability of our instructors.
- NO HIDDEN COSTS! This Private 1-1 course includes PADI E-learning, education kit, equipment Rentals, entry fees & air fills.
- Education kit consist of a logbook, recreational dive planner, and dive planning slate.
- However accommodations, meals, and charter fees* (open water site-specific) are not included.
- The Digital Forms packet and eLearning must be done 3 days prior to the first class session.
- Additionally, if there are any reasons that you would need to get a physician to sign your medical release for the course this must also be done by 3 days prior to the first date of class.
- The eLearning may take you 8 to 15 hours, or more to complete.
YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE/HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Personal gear - Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Boots, Delayed Surface Marker buoy.
- (Mask must be non-mirrored and fins must be scuba fins, not snorkel or freediving fins)
- Purchasing your own wetsuit is recommended, however we have wetsuits for you to use during your open water class.
- Other recommended gear:
- Finger spool,
- Gloves
- Compass
- Dive Computer
If it is your plan to use borrowed or equipment purchased elsewhere, We require any equipment that you are going to use that is not purchased from Letts Dive (mask, snorkel, fins, boots, BCD, regulator) be brought into the store and evaluated to ensure that it is “scuba worthy”. Gear must be scuba quality (not snorkeling or freediving gear) and it must fit you and be functioning. Regarding the BCD and regulator, those pieces of equipment are provided for you through the shop and covered by your course fee. If the gear you have is barrowed or not properly maintained, it could be a hazard to you and impede your training.
