Millions of people have learned to scuba dive and gone on to discover the wonders of the aquatic world through this course.

Upon registration you will receive an email from PADI with an eLearning code for the digital classroom portion of the course.  After completing the eLearning, you will attend four training sessions over the course of a little over a week.

For most of our classes, the first session will take place at our shop on Thursday evening (6-9pm). In this session you will wrap up any administrative issues, meet your instructors and other students in your class, review dive planning and the RDP use, take a Quick Review Quiz over what you learned in the eLearning, get fitted/issued the gear you will be using for the course, and learn how to assemble and disassemble the equipment.

The next session will take place at a pool, typically on Sunday, where you will learn the skills needed to complete 5 confined water dives and be prepared for your Open Water Check out dives.

The following weekend, you will generally head to Lake Denton for two days to complete your open water dives.

This standard course includes PADI eLearning, equipment rentals, & air fills.

Personal gear (mask, snorkel, fins, boots, and SMB/DSMB), Educational Kit (logbook, recreational dive planner, and dive planning slate), accommodations, and entry/charter fees* (open water site-specific) are not included.
