Typical Timeline

The course is conducted over four dedicated sessions:

• Day 1: First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (Academic and hands-on).

• Day 2: Emergency Oxygen Provider training followed by pool-based rescue skill development.

• Days 3 & 4: Open water sessions focusing on practical application and final rescue scenarios.

• Note: All eLearning and medical forms must be submitted 10 days prior to the first session.

Equipment Requirements

What you need to bring:

• Full Scuba Kit: BCD, Regulator set (with SPG/Computer), and adequate exposure protection.

• Personal Gear: Non-mirrored mask, scuba fins (no snorkel/freedive fins), boots, and a dive computer.

• Safety Accessories: Audible signaling device (whistle), DSMB with reel, cutting tool, and a Rescue Pocket Mask with an oxygen port.

What we provide:

• Tanks and weights.

• First Aid kits, Oxygen kits, and CPR manikins.

• Floats and specialized rescue training aids.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age: 18 (or 10–15 with parental consent for Junior Rescue).

• Certification: SDI Open Water Scuba Diver (or equivalent) OR SDI Advanced Adventure Diver (or equivalent).

• Logged Dives: If you hold an Advanced Adventure certification (or higher), there is no additional minimum dive count beyond what was required for that cert.

  • If you are an Open Water Diver, you must provide proof of 15 logged open water dives.

• A minimum of 2 students is required for the class to proceed.

Policies:

• Preparation: All eLearning and medical forms must be finalized 10 days prior to your first session. Please let us know if you are working to complete the requirement so we can avoid the $150 rescheduling fee.

• Refunds: No refunds are provided without medical documentation. All other returns or credits are issued as store credit.
