The PADI Tec Gas Blender certification course trains you to blend gases used in enriched air diving.  It does not involve any underwater lessons. There will be an independent study portion, and there will also be a knowledge review with your instructor and a practical application session.

The Tec Gas blender certification course will specifically teach you the following:

• Different ways to blend gases
• Pros and cons of various blending methodologies
• Blending enriched air and trimix blends to within 1% of the target mix
• Procedures for oxygen cleaning
• Requirements for oxygen service
• Possible hazards in oxygen handling
• Managing hazards in oxygen handling
• Methods of obtaining the desired enriched air nitrox mix
