Instructor
Garrett has been diving since 2008 and has logged over 600 dives, building a well-rounded background across recreational, rescue, and specialty diving. He is especially passionate about helping divers grow their confidence and skills through hands-on, detail-oriented instruction.
His preferred teaching areas include Open Water, Advanced, Rescue, Full Face Mask, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Night Diver, and Deep Diver courses. Garrett’s calm approach and strong safety focus make him a great mentor for divers looking to advance their training.
Originally from New Jersey, diving runs deep in Garrett’s family—his parents and brother are all divers, and his grandfather served on the New Jersey State Police Dive Team, helping inspire his lifelong connection to the water.
By day, Garrett works as an Environmental Specialist with Pinellas County, where he conducts environmental sampling, enforcement, and public education. He also serves as a Dive Safety Officer, bringing real-world experience and environmental awareness into every class he teaches.
When he’s not underwater, Garrett enjoys scuba diving, climbing, weightlifting, swimming, and drawing.
Fun fact: Garrett was part of a maritime search and rescue team during college—experience that continues to shape his disciplined, safety-first mindset in the water.
